Maximum Sunroof Retraction

I'm a fairly new owner of the G sedan, and just wondering if this is the normal maximum retracting position of the sunroof? Thanks.

you can get the whole assembly replaced under warranty by stating that the top trim is cracking. Mine had been beating by the sun and started to crack so the solution isnt to replace just the trim its a whole new sunroof. $532.43.

edit* I just checked mine and the handle is supose to go all the way back to the where it touches the roof, no further.

When you open the moonroof (the glass portion), it stops where the OP posted.
If you grab the interior moonroof clover (the sunshield) and slide it all the way back, it will slide until the handle touches the back edge of the opening.

You're all right.... and there's nothing wrong with it
