My Poor G

Low speed crash = a good amount of front end damage and a $11.5k estimate and climbing from the repair shop. T-boned another car at about 10 MPH (speed estimate at time of crash after breaking attempt).

Is that your front fender liner caught in the rear tire?

It might be now that you say that. I assumed it was the rear but I may have run over it when I moved to the side if the road. I figured the impact knocked the rear loose. No air bags. Guess I wasn't going fast enough. Anyone know how fast you need to be traveling for air bags to deploy?

I've had my car in recently for dealer service and no recall work was recommended for my year/model. Or maybe they wait to do the recall after you've had an accident and the bags didn't deploy.

The Air bag system is complicated. Just because you hit something does not mean they automatically deploy, if it was a low speed crash then thats prob a reason they did not deploy.

There are weight sensors, crash sensors,Speed sensor, Accelerometer..ect to figure out if you need air bags or not.

Don't know the minimum speed but they did deploy at 65mph when I totated my g35. Man I miss that car. Sorry to hear about your car but glad that no one got hurt. Gs are so safe, which is my main reason to get another G.
