I've had my 2008 G35 X S for one month purchased it with 17,000 miles added about 1,000 my only regret I didn't own a G before. Color is Grey with Nav, Prem and sport pack. Last car was a 02 max purchased new. Was a great car as long as it was driven straight. I gave it to my son in law with 149,000 miles needed only 1 repair Nissan knows who to build cars to last! Can anyone explain how to remove the maintance alerts that are flashing in the red display. I reset the mileage and turned off the prompts thru the LCD screen but no matter how many times I press the buttons on the dash the alert is still there after starting the car. Is this a process only the dealer can preform

When you are resetting mileage is the left number returning to "0".
Example oil should look like this for a 4K mile oil change
0 / 4000
I hear ya on the Maxima. I still have my '02. Only complaints.. not the sportiest in the curves by far and defines the term torque steer. It's traction issues are one of the core reasons I bought an X.

thanks for the info I was able to reset the mileage but could not reset the start. For now it's gone I will figure it out soon. Pictures are coming but today was crappy would not do the paint justise . My G is a great car i'm worried that there are speeding tickets in my future This car drives best fast . Can I get some suggestion for tires. I live in PA we have some snow, not enough to go for blizzards but I need an all season tire. I have 08 35xS

There are two sets of maintenance alerts that can be set.
One set is in the settings through the Navi screen and the other set of alerts are set through the center LCD screen, where the mileage, temp, miles remaining, etc are shown.
SOunds like you turned off alerts in one section but they may be turned off in the other... check both.
