im having problems with the radio not saving the information like preset stations and bass/treble settings. anyone experience a problem like this? my car starts fine in the mornings so it cant be my battery

 

You're holding the preset buttons long enough until it beeps right?

I'm just asking so others can rule it out as a reason.

The treble/bass settings is something I haven't experienced. It's likely electrical. Because when you change your battery, you lose all settings. So something in the system must be resetting it.

Also state when it resets so others can help better. Does it reset after you turn off the car, meaning the system saves your presets while the car is running, then it resets it once the car has been turned off?

Or does it just not remember presets at all.

If you don't get any answers here, I would take it to a shop. I'm guessing it's wiring gone bad, because I can't think of any other reason. Try a different section. There's the Audio/Video/Electronics section in the Tech Area forum.

 

Is this a second generation G? I am asking because sometimes people post first gen G questions here too. If 1st that would explain somewhat since the head unit can go bad. Second generation seem like reliable. Do you have navi?

 

Does your analog clock stay accurate? If it doesn't, it could suggest a battery problem.
