Those are stick on appliques. Most likely will start to yellow within three years. The aluminum interior is way better looking than wood, IMHO. Wood looks too much like an old man car.

 

OK some quick updates

so i called the company today and they explained it to me that these use the 3m tape to stay on so its not like the OEM pieced and with the price being so low i dont really thing its worth it if you're going to do it right you gota go with the real thing. but i dont think i am ready to cough up 1k+ for the trim pieces so i ll hold of on this

I highly recommend IGT for their carbon fiber trim. A few of you may remember me doing my carbon fiber wrap of the trim before I picked up the pieces from IGT and it is just night and day. The wrap just did not hold a candle to the true carbon fiber panels. A couple pics for those who are not familiar with it.

Thanks guys, it makes the world of difference when it is the real thing IMO.

It actually cost more then $1k... it was just about $1k for the door and dash trims when I bought mine so that doesn't include the shifter and dash panel.

I just loved the look when I first saw the carbon fiber in a different finish in Ians G when I first bought my car.

This weekend i will be installing the Nifty Shifty Boot, BB grounding kit, new lights, and if i have time looking for a solution to the non-powered mirror radar hook up.

Weather is looking decent this weekend so a quick wash and some pictures will be coming stay tuned!

so i installed everything this weekend and even gave the G a wash and wax in 40 degree weather and i forgot my camera... fail

very straight forward install.

I also installed my BB grounding kit. To be honest i wasnt expecting much but thats just me being me. I m no expert when it comes to EE but i dont think a couple of wires running from one side of the engine bay to the other is going to do much.

Sorry for the long read but this is my opinion of the grounding kit:
I followed the instructions posted online by BB.

After installing the grounding kit i didnt notice any difference my center console wasnt any brighter my stereo wasnt any louder or crisper at least i didnt notice a difference. when i started to drive around i did notice was the throttle response when i hit the gas, but that was probably from the ECU being reset. Also to my surprise the gears are shifting alot smoother. there is always this one steep hill on base that when i hit the brake the car would have a very rough down shift that would cause my body to jerk forward, but now that i have the grounding kit in i have yet to experience this rough shift. i attempted to recreate the down shift multiple times but no luck. So i guess it would have to be the grounding kit.

One problem i did run into was when i was installing the LEDs i accidentally shorted out the fuse which i dont know how i plugged the back passenger side dome light in and all of a sudden i saw a spark and none of the interior lights would come on. i changed out the fuse from the fuse panel and all the lights work again except for the rear passenger dome light i think something in the housing might have shorted out too... so i guess i ll be making a trip to the stealership.

lastly the radar detector works great and the whole GPS and memory thing is very neat and handy

For my next Mods i have decided to go with:
Sway Bars (already ordered waiting till end of February)
FI Exhaust (i love the way the intake sounds so i want MOAR!!)

I love my FI exhaust and I have had the 9500ix for a while and it's great too.
