Why would he want to buy lowering springs if he's just going to put in coilovers shortly thereafter?

Lowering springs will eventually wear out the struts and you will have to replace them in the long run. Coilovers are better because the spring and struth are spec'd for each other, they allow you to adjust your height and might even have additional dampening.

OP, have you considered the Injen CAI? If i remember correctly it's like the Gen 3 except you don't need to cut through anything.

I say if he has money to buy everything right away then just get coilovers. On the other hand, I would get wheels, and springs and be broke for a bit. Then save up enough for coilovers.

Coilovers prepares your stance for new wheels. If you get new wheels first, You'll be sitting 4x4 status.

Stock wheels with coilovers = OK
Aftermarket wheels with stock height = Ugly

That's all my opinion ofcourse. But I wouldn't rock Work or Volk or any wheel for that matter with a 2" gap all around.

!

Personally, I'd go performance over looks/aesthetics. Sooo... Coils then wheels. CAI is an easy mod you can do whenever you want. I'd suggest catback exhaust as well, then a ecu tune. Get the most out of what's under the hood.
