G35 Sedan vs Carseat

Hi, I am looking to buy a G35/G37 sedan, but need some help from members with small kids. When a rear facing carseat is installed in the rear middle seat, can the rear seat still comfortably seat two adults (say in a 2hr roadtrip)? Thank you.

I've had one front and one rear-facing seat back there (both are front-facing now). There's absolutely no space in the middle unless you're a little kid -- even then it's tight. With just one seat installed on the outboard side, i can get one adult and barely a small child back there.

With a rear facing child seat in the middle, you will gain some space on each side but i wouldn't expect any average-sized adult to sit there for two hours without getting uncomfortable real fast.

agreed, which is why my 2nd car is a VAN

I can get one carseat, one small, and one medium child in my backseat. No chance for 2 adults and a carseat.

if the adults are above avg in size, then I'll say it'll be little rough for a long trip.

Now I have the car seat facing forward, sitting on the passenger side. Only 1 adult can fit back there comfortably.

When you put the car seat in the middle you get more space in the sides.

It'll be tolerable, but not great. The rear-facing carseat in the middle will limit how far back you can set the front seats, but that should not be an issue if you want your rear adult passengers to be comfortable. So long as the rear passengers are not very large, they should be fine...a screaming baby will probably be more disruptive to them than the lack of space. Buckling the seat belts will be fine for them, too.

Life gets so much easier (car-wise) when the kids are in boosters!
