Yet ANOTHER new owner this week!!

Hey everybody, just wanted to say hello and express my love for my new toy. I became the owner of a Brilliant Silver 07 G35x last night and am thrilled with my purchase. I cant wait to start the modding process and am searching around the site trying to get opinions. I was planning on ordering intake right away (although there is SOOO much debate on what to do in that area) and possibly a grounding kit. I am still searching for other good mods and plan to hold off on exhaust/wheels until after winter. Well, anywho HI EVERYONE!

Congrats on the X - where are you located that you wanted the all wheel drive?

Welcome to the site - it's a great place to answer all the mod questions you're sure to have.

Go get a Stillen gen 3, it's probably one of the best for our market. Any plans for an exhaust?

Congrats on the new ride , now put some pics up!

It rained right after I brought her home so I am gonna wash it and post some this weekend...I've ALWAYS done short ram intakes but the Stillen Gen 3 seems like the best route for pulling in cold air. I watched an install video and it looks like the Stillen is the best option for being true cold-air while staying away from sucking in lots of water and debris, any owners input?? The injen long tube is similar but doesn't it sit lower in the bumper? I keep trying to use the search for opinions on an intake but there are so many conflicting opinions I wonder what to do?!

For exhaust, I really like the sound of the Fast Intentions. I want something that is not very gaudy and gives it a nice tone. I had HFC and Bassani on my 350z and the HFCs were such a pain with rasp/noise so I think I might just stick to a cat-back on the G.

Any other recommendations for an intake for a new guy?

Great choice, the X model has proven to be phenomenal to me recently on wet and dry surfaces. This car is still new to me so im still getting used to it as well. Today getting on the highway, the acceleration and cornering was breathtaking!! Curvy on-ramp and racing with the civic si next to me!! But shifting into second around the corner (wide open) I could hear the tires wanting to screach but the AWD just pulled and pulled. Next thing I know im going 70 and slowing down to merge on the highway.... Butterflies.
