I used to think that way.
I've had it on at least the last four cars.
The protection is unquestionable,
but the look of it bugged me every time I looked at the car.

My M Coupe is the 1st one in years that I didn't get it done & I couldn't be happier.
There are two factors that make it work though...
- low mileage
- the OE paint is much better than my Infiniti paint was

 

I think it's:
1. Dependent on the color of your car (as far as how easily you can see it)
2. How well you take care of it
3. Who installed it.

 

On my Garnet Ember you can't see it unless you get at the right angle...I don't have the whole hood either...

The guy who did mine also does it for the local Porsche, Mercedes and BMW dealerships.

 

What exactly about the look didn't you like? Is there anything that hasn't yet been mentioned in this thread?
