Aftermarket Wipers?

So I need a new pair of wiper blades and normally, for wiper blades, I would just go to AutoZone, find a pair that fit my car, look for a decent price and then check out but when I last went to the dealer for an oil change they thought it important to note that amongst other things that my wipers were "aftermarket."

Personally, I don't really care about aftermarket wipers or not but maybe there is something I'm not aware of for G35s (Only been an owner 2.5 months).

Any thoughts? Should I go the OEM or aftermarket wiperblades?

Ivan

Try using the search function.

I am pretty sure I saw a few threads on this already.

That being said I have had good luck with Rain-X wipers on my old Lexus and I am using Bosch expensive something or another on my car now.

As the guy at Orileys Auto said they have lasted him 2 years. We shall see.

I think the Bosch blades are like 15+ dollars and the Rain X are like 10-15. I wonder what the Stealership will charge u.

OEM wipers.. thats silly... Its rubber... There is nothing special about these wipers..

If you have nothing against stock blades then why not get them, instead of dealing with fitment issues? Just a thought.

+1 on the Bosch it has been only about 2 years now for mine but I love them. Best wipers I have ever owned.

Another option is to just change out the refill:

Thumbs up trico neoform

I've been using trico neoform beam blade wipers after switching from icons quite a while back. IMO they fit great, they work great, they're super quiet, they look great and they're the lowest-cost top-of-the-line wiper blade out there.

Check out silblade. I've been running these on my other cars for years! My last car had the same blade for 5+ yrs and it still worked like it was brand new. Its really impressive stuff.

The Napa replacements suck (passenger side is like 1" too long). Don't get them.

I got full contact Michelin wipers at WallyWorld for a reasonable price. The Bosch Icons would've been like $50.00 for wipers. I mean, really, they're just wipers.
