Anyone who works on their own car...

I need a good mechanic glove or glovessssss ... depends.

I'm looking at this company called mechanixx (which I happen to use for my airsoft games lol)

And alpinestars which I happen to have their stuff cause of my motorcycle =] I like both actually... but I'm looking at alpinestars more. They offer 2 gloves tire and engine.

thinking of buying the engine one.. it has those magnetic things to hold in the little screws which is nice. What do you guys use?

I'm had it with those disposable latex gloves. Not only they break all the time but they don't even protect my hands.

I use laytex or nylon disposable gloves...

I was tired of having grease in my fingers 20 days later.

They give you the feel the others are talking about..

I use the rubber latex gloves. They work the best cause the larger gloves get in the way. The latex just keeps you cleaner

^ i dont use any gloves cause i cant really work well with them, if i had to i would go with the disposable latex gloves cause they give the best control vs all other gkloves and then as SxEXCx said get some $2 orange goop or similar hand cleaner and your hands will be as clean as anything within a few minutes.

I prefer gloves to get a good grip and keep my purty hands clean and damaged free...but truth is chicks dig scars. No really though, I don't wear gloves because it's easier to feel around and know what you're grabbing bare handed. But I tend to get a crap load of cuts. Only part I hate.

I use mechanix wear gloves. If you work on cars alot IMO it is essential. I used to hate gloves but the amount of cuts, burns, bruises i have gotten are ridiculous. now i just cut out the index and middle fingers so i get grip with my bare fingers and still have protection. Alot also depends on what you're doing.
Exhaust- gloves for sure
things like plenum spacer i won't wear gloves.

Amen to that. When grip is a necessity, the Mech goes on. If it's something more delicate (i.e. like trying to grip a tiny nut, or feeling for something) latex gloves go on.

When it's fluid-related (esp. brake fluid), until i ran out, i used nitrile gloves.

Depends on what you are doing.
Gloveless is great until you're sticking your hands into small places that can cut you up.

I like latex to assist in cleanup but I find that they rip and tear too easily. Even the XXL's are too damn small and stretched too thin, they tear off my hands too much.

I've never tried Goo-Gone for cleanup... I'll have to give that a whirl sometime.
