New 08 'x owner - IA

Greetings! I recently returned home from 4 months of military training and treated myself to my dream car... 2008 G35x. She's a 2 year lease-return with a manufacture date of 7/08 and only 30500 miles. Silver w/black interior

I love love love this car! However, just yesterday I was installing my plates and noticed that the bracket that holds the rear license plate lights onto the bumper had cracked on one side and the light was swinging around loosely inside the bumper above the plate.

I still have 20 months remaining on my bumper-to-bumper warranty, is this something that would be covered? I've never owned a car with a warranty so I'm new to this

Thanks! Jordon

Thanks!

I want to get the windows tinted but not too dark.. was thinking of 35% all the way around. I had a car a few years ago tinted 5% and it was way way too dark.

Looks great, I think that 35% is exactly what I will get.

Back to my original question, here is a picture of what I'm talking about:

Welcome from just north of you. Car looks great! I see you bought your car at Wayzata Nissan. My dad just bought his Corvette from there earlier this summer. I live only 7 miles down the road from there.

What part of Iowa are you from?

I'm from ames - I graduated from Iowa State University last year. Funny you noticed my plates were from Wayzata.. I liked the no-pressure sales environment and they had the best prices for comparable vehicles in a 300mi radius from me.

Any idea on the warranty covering that license plate light? I'll probably just give my local Infiniti dealer a call this week and ask.

Congrats on the ride

as for the license plate light housing the same thing happened to me when i got mine. i brought it right back and they fixed it. its not hard since it popped out again when i was trying to install LEDs in the back.

all you gota do is loosen that screw and put it back in the groove and tighten the screw since it looks like the piece that is suppose to hold it broke off you could get a larger washer.

but yeah bring it back to the dealership and they should fix it

I just hope that you had the car checked over throughly. You shouldn't have a problem with that new of a vehicle, but I have read about some sketchy cars coming out of Wayzata nissan and they DO always seem to ahve the least expensive around which scares me at times.

Congrats though. I am only over in Eden Prairie. You might have to come up for some meets this summer. I'll be upgrading to a G35S soon here.

It had a clean vehicle history report and I took it on a long test drive. Hopefully nothing pops up but if so I still have plenty of factory warranty remaining since the original owner didn't lease it until 10/08.

I just might have to make a trip up there for a meet this summer. I may be moving down to Texas to work at Ft. Hood this spring but if not I'd definitely come up.

We will probably have a big spring get together at a local guys house. He seems to be hosting them more lately especially after he picked up an 08 G37 this fall.

Check out the midwest section in the MN chat thread and post up. We have a pretty decent club already and are only looking to expand it!
