A new G35S Sedan owner

Hi gang,

My 2007 G35s 6MT in grey is on its way down to south florida from TN. We are eagerly awaiting its arrival. It has 41k on it.

On the list for early maintenance and / or mods are:
Tinted windows
Some kind of bra because i do lots of interstate driving
Probably an oil change to make sure I know when it was done...
Ccabin air filter (same idea as above)
Any other thoughts to either maintenance or mods?

I'd like to do the following:
Short shift kit, if there is one
Replace stock speakers, if needed, no bose in this one
K and n air filter kit or similar...does this really help the G35?

I'll post some pics from the dealer...

Take care Ya'll!

The stock non-bose system is pretty awesome! I don't think the bra is a good idea, though. Maybe a clear overlay from starshield instead?

I got a clear bra installed by a professional and I am very pleased with it. It looks great and performs great...don't get any other type of bra....

the other thing is it looks like this 2007 does not have a sat radio antenna on it. does that mean that the radio is not sat ready? if it is can I hook up an antenna inside like i have in my soon to be sold honda? I'd like to have the shark fin antenna but that's a bunch of work and cost for right now...

the perils of buying online....

You won't need a STS (short-throw shifter)..

This car has the shortest stock shifter I've ever driven ... My '97 Maxima SE with a B&M STS was like driving a 18 wheeler compared to the throw on my 07 6MT.

I've driven some other sporty and performance cars as well (STi's, etc) and still, I'd have to say the 6MT in our car is the shortest!

The gears are pretty tight too, I find myself searching for third sometimes when down-shifting, they're so close together

I'd like to know if there is a short shifter kit available too. Compared to my prior S2000 and the new 5.0 GT Mustang I drove, the stock shifter on the G35 is CRAAAAP, notchy, clunky, and the throws may not be as long as some other cars, but it's not short either.
