I've driven my friends' Subaru Foresters and Legacy Outbacks and it's a significantly more secure feeling while driving in the snow than in my G35x. Driving these cars felt like I was on rails in snowy conditions, which is something I cannot say for the G (tends to tail, although the latter may have to do with overgenrous use of the gas pedal with all that power ) That said, I feel very comfortable in a G on the snowy roads, even with Eagle GT tires' being not as good in the snow during their 2nd winter. It would have done awesome with dedicated snow tires but in downstate NY there aren't many heavy snow days to justify the expense.

Absolutely. I used to make it a point to go out driving whenever we got a big snow storm.

I'd come home and snow would be all packed into the sides of the wheels.
