Likewise we drive overpriced Nissans. What's upscale about the G35 BTW? Op enjoy ur new car, prolly won't of been my first choice but, that's from someone that traded their 04G35 for a 06 Yukon Denali only to get another G35 a year and a half later. So I don't have much room to talk

My main reason is I'm sick of dealing with potholes and roads here in LA. They keep getting worse and worse. So I'm going with a new 2011 Wrangler ( I used to always have a Wrangler as a second car until 2008). The new interior rocks, all amenities, and I can drive over anything.

I will miss my G - it's the only car of 44 I've kept longer than 2 years.

It's in the classifieds if anyone's interested.

I like the TSX - and actually the ZDX - but then I'd just be back in the same boat with the roads.

Carefull with the Wrangler. My co-worker's husband just bought one in Nov 2010 (brand new) 1 Week later he was going to go do some mudding and noticed some smoke coming from the hood so he pulled over, before he knew that beatch was on fire. Completely burned up. Sure, it's an Isolated case but watch out. Insurance is still investigating. One and a half week, lol he hadn't even gotten tags yet.

Oh wow, that's insane. Did he get a new one even though insurance is still investigating??

Thx for comments on Jeep - I've had MANY of them...2007 and 2008 Wrangler, 2007 Grand Cherokee SRT8, and then 2000, 2004 and 2006 Jeep Wranglers. I've never had a single issue with any of them. Albeit - never off-roading and used as a second car...but still.

The G is the ONLY car I've kept longer than 2 years...so will be missed. I'm already feeling the pangs of separation...

The engine in the 2011 Wrangler is supposed to be a dog, and the 2012 is supposedly getting the much better pentastar 3.6 if u can wait. Although if you don't mind the engine, I agree the new wrangler interior is nice.

I've been out handled by Civics and other Hondas and I used to own a 4 cylinder Prelude... The G is a nice car with gobs of power, but I don't feel confident throwing it into turns like I did the 'Lude... that thing was on rails. We'll see how the G does once I get my anti-sway bars.

I wouldn't exactly call the Jeep inline 6 4.0 a dog...

i still want a jeep. I want that off-roading capability. And i just like the way they look. I really wanted the SRT8 but noticed its really a city car driver. Then wanted a wrangler for, well....what else? off road and summer time usage. BUT then I saw the gas mileage goddammmmn! 15mpg?!

He didn't want anything to do with another Jeep so he got a leftover 2010 Ram Laramie.

i just came from a o4 tsx 6speed. Great car, bought it new and the only thing i had to fix was the right front CV joint. Not fast but peppy as long as you were in the VTEC band (over 5300). Had a hondata reflash and intake, very happy with the car. But with that said, it didnt put a grin on my face like my g35s 6speed. either way enjoy

Kenasaki - I had an SRT8 for 10 months. Insane power and handling, got to go to the SRT Track day and drive all the SRT vehicles, and I spent a huge amount of $$ on a new interior as well as halo headlights. The WORST fuel economy (gas was 5.60 a gallon here in CA during that time) - 7-8 mpg on a good day.

I've already planned all my mods for the Wrangler.

Here's a pic of the SRT8 with my old Volvo S60R - and what i will be doing (mostly) with ht Jeep.

ALso - I hate to turn in my G with my mods - so if noone buys it I'll be selling all the GT Spec bracing, caliper covers, and both front and rear spoilers.

SO - if anybody wants a G!!!

I thought it would be fun to dig up this old thread...just got rid of that TSX. I learned my lesson after 18 months. Back to the G family with a 2012 G37 Premium/Sport/Navigation with midnight black grill, spoiler, and illuminated kick plates.

Probably the only thing I will miss is the ELS sound system. That thing rocked. Gas mileage still wasnt worth the loss in power and FWD...

Feels good to be back!!!!!
