Installed the R2C intake today
Job wasn't too bad, but I wish I had done more homework prior to starting it! I didn't see the thread discussing the necessity to cut down some of the rubber hose to size and I couldn't figure out for a while what I was doing wrong!
However, once installed, I went for a quick drive and it all paid off. The car sounds and feels exactly like stock driving around until you hammer it. Then it takes on an almost exotic sounding wail! What a pleasant surprise. One of the best intakes I've purchased. Did it make it faster? Probably not...probably even lost a horse or two, but the sound and added fun was worth the $$$. Really has me motivated for the FI exhaust now!
While I had it all apart, I cleaned out the very dirty throttle body with some Seafoam and a rag. It was pretty nasty!
My only regret is that I should've spent the extra $$$ on the black chrome. The pics of the bchrome look much nicer than the powdercoated one I received. Oh, well...maybe for the wife's G!

Could be because of the install. When I installed some, they contacted and sealed with the hood perfectly.
