Wired for satellite or not?

So I have 2007 G35 Sport Sedan. Manual, Premium package.

I've been trying to determine if I have the wireing harness which I believe would be in the trunk. I've done some searching and seen conflicting posts. Some say the harness is there in all 07 G35. Others - only if you have a "SAT" button - which I do not have. How can i find out for sure it's there without ripping out the trunk liner.

are their other options to putting in a SAT radio retaining the display and steering wheel controls without using the infiniti unit?

thanks,
BB

If you've got the premium package, I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that you've got already got sat capability. The "Radio am/fm" button will toggle through the selections.

That is the only button I have and I have satellite. Check your manual for more detail.

well the manual being written to cover most if not all variants of the G35 - is unclear. And again - most people "believe" it's there but I was wondering if there's a way to be sure.

Also, anyone else install something other then Infiniti's SAT radio option?

It is prewired from what iv seen on here, i "believe" the wiring is under the drivers seat, a little snooping around in that area should get you a definite answer for sure.

Just did a quick simple search and found a definite answer here. The car is prewired 100% and the module is in the trunk, a diy with Pics is within the link! G/L

My 07 G35x has no SAT button but definitely has the wiring harness in the trunk. It's not hard to find if you look.

I haven't hooked anything up to it, but people on here say it's just a matter of plugging in the module.

thanks guys. I have searched and found several DIY postings. I was just curious if there was another way to verify because when googled it originally - I found a post where the guy said he didn't have the harness. maybe he just didn't find it. who knows.

Someone told me there was a solution from iSimple (?) that was just as good but cheaper - anyone using that or something similar? just curious - I've not heard of it.
