daytime running/fog lights question
daytime running/fog lights question
I tried searching this topic and I didnt quite find the answers I'm looking for so I apologize if this topic has already been beat to death,, maybe I was looking in the wrong areas.
I dont like the orange color of the daytime running/fog lights so i replaced the bulbs with hella xenon bulbs (the box said ultra white/blueish tint). The color did not really change at all.
can anyone tell me what I need to do to get a brighter white? do I need to buy a HID conversion kit? or am i using the wrong bulbs?

Try this thread https://g35driver.com/forums/v36-int...installed.html from the exterior-lighting section. I personally wouldn't put HID into my fogs since I'm concerned about blinding oncoming traffic.
im with you on not wanting to blind oncoming traffic,, i just dont like the yellow orange dim look..
so do you think the only way to get those bright enuf so they are white is an HID kit?>

well, i did some research on kptechonlogies who makes modules for DRLs for infinitis. Unfortunately they dont have a module for the 2nd gen sedans! ARRRGHH!
so i emailed the guy and this is what he said us 2nd genners could do.
buy the A-SPDT. The basic procedure is to power the coil of the relay with an ignition source (pins 85 and 86), power Pin 87 with a fused connection to the battery, and wire Pin 87A to the IPDM side of the fog light power wires, and Pin 30 to the fog lights.
i got this info 4 days before i got my HIDs in and didnt have enough time to order it and get it shipped to my house. otherwise i would have tried this out already.

Ok so I will take pictures but after long search I found a pair of $20 bulbs that are damn near close the color of our stock HIDs. Yes that is right, $20!! They are made by Eurodesignz. They have an ultra white output, NOT BLUE!! They look great and are a perfect alternative to aftermarket HID sets.
