Bosch Filter

Anybody ever used them? I just bought 5QTS castrol synthetic on sale for $27 and it came with a Bosch Distance plus, so I just wanted to know if this is a good filter. I usually get the Mobil 1 deal with the filter but it's not on sale this time so Castrol will do just fine, just don't know about the filter.

Yes the Bosch Distance Plus is a good filter, I have been running these past 3 oil changes on my car and 2 on another car since they come with the deal at Advanced.

Here is a dissection of one http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums...Number=2124097

the Bosch Distance Plus is THE best filter on the market. It is 99.9% efficient and holds 2x the amount of dirt as a comparably priced filter.

p.s. thanks for shopping at advance auto parts where "service is our best part!"
(shameless plug)

+1 for Bosch filter. I frequent the Nissan Titan/BITOG boards; they seem to do very well and I myself have used them on my Titan (no UOAs though).

BTW, what Syntec did you get? I have some GC 0w30 that I'm waiting on next oil change to try in my G. Currently running PP 5w30 which seems fine in the VQ, but the VK in my Titan is a little picky and likes thicker oils...and keeping the same oil for both is more convenient.

Yea I live in Ga so no need for any special oil here, I run 5w 30 like the manufacturer suggest. I've been using Mobil 1 for a while but have no problems switching brands to castrol if that's whats on sale. I have been using castrol before I drank the Mobil 1 kool-aid and am yet to see any difference in the performance/mileage and any other criteria.

I'm sure if I send a sample to blackstone labs one will show better results, but i doubt that difference really matters in real world application.
