Guys, Buying my first G35 and need help!!!

http://www.donohooauto.com/web/2191/...ti-G35%20Sedan

Please click on the link. Ive already put a $500 deposit on it, but if i decide not to buy it, they will let me pick something else out. They will sell it to me for 21k out the door. I really wanted navi, backup camera, and bose, but they jump 5k where i live and that just doesnt seem worth it to me. Thanks for the help.

ok, so i found another car. exactly the same. 2007 G35 Sedan Sport (black on grey). It has navi, backup camera, bose. they want $23,400 out the door. This car has 18000 miles as opposed to the other one with 40,000 miles. What should i do? is it worth the extra $? Thank you so much!

Try posting in the proper forum and you'll probably get better responses..

When you say OTD - are you including all taxes/fees/registration/etc?

This one (the low miler) appeals more to me. I like a low mile car and it's only a couple thousand more. To me, it would be worth the extra change.

thanks guys. im gonna go with the lower mile car. i guess my question is this, does that seem like a good deal? It is roughly $6335 below retail, and about $2500 below private party "good", even though i would say it is excellent condition. Btw, i didnt realize you could get navi in an '07....

Always research the dealers you go to before you purchase a vehicle from them. This dealer in particular specialized in a lot of salvage title and buy back vehicles. I'm not bad mouthing this dealer so please don't confuse the advise I'm giving. I too looked into this dealer when I was looking to buy a 5 series and they had great prices, better than anyone else and not too far from me here in GA but some of the prices came with a "price." My advise is don't get too caught up on the initial low price but take your time and be patient and throughly research, the car and dealer, and in the end you will get exactly what it is your looking for.

good call titan. your right. after running the carfax on several of their cars, the majority have unibody damage reports. the other low mileage car is at another dealer. thank you. do you think the low mile car is a good deal?

Also it won't hurt to have the car inspected by a mechanic before you purchase. I recommend taking it to a dealer before you sign the dotted line. They charge a fee but it can save you a ton in the long run. My first g35 that I bought, I got it from a small used car lot and the price was good. They had a clean carfax and I ran an autocheck on it that I paid for, however when I took it to my mechanic, he easily found out that it had been repaired before because of some sort of accident. Things he found was overspray of paint on the bottom of the bumper (had to be under the car with it on a lift to see) where the paint ran down and pooled on the bottom, and the right rear quarter panel had been repaired and repainted (deep swirl marks from where it had been sanded down and not smoothed out properly so that when it was repainted you could still make out the lines from the sanding) and also the clear film guard was gone. How this bit me in the rear end was that my front tires had constant camber wear and after two alignments and replacing the control arms I realized that I should've spent a little extra and got it from a reputable dealer

I do think the lower milage car is a good deal. Where is it located? I just got an 08 G35 sedan 5AT Journey with 34k miles, premium pkg, non-navi, with bose and it was 25k OTD. Still a bit under NADA value and being that its from a dealer I have tons of warranty, the remaining factory and all the goodies they do for you in the first 30 days to uphold their reputation. I may have been able to get it cheaper somewhere else but what I prefer is the peace of mind I have about where this car came from. Can't really put a price on that

It's specific for buying and selling discussions - seems like it's doing okay in here, but maybe stick one over there too..

no rush, ive been looking for a while. finally found the one that had every option i wanted at my price point. lower mileage car seems to be from a very reputable infiniti dealer. A+ on BBB. Havent really seen any cheaper than what im getting it for, but didnt know if any of you knew of any different avenues to pursue, but i feel like im getting a good deal.
