there are no gaurantees, its all about how u deal with them, as long as you get OEM oil and save the receipt and note down the mileage then you should be fine.

As long as you have your receipts you dont have much to worry about, since IF anything like this ever happens its on the dealer to prove that something you didi might have caused it. However if you are using OEM fluids then there is nothing they can say about it.

So just get OEM if you are worried about warranty and you'll be fine.

There is a TSB about denying claims if OEM isn't used.

I believe it is ---> ITB08-022a

^ very nice find treacherous as usual, that should put an end to all the presumptions of whether OEM should be used or AM...

moss magnuson allows the use of any aftermarket parts that meet specification without voiding the warranty.

read the manual. if it specs 90w gl5 lube, any will work. if it specifies infiniti OEM 90w gl5, only that will work (for warranty issues).

toyota does this with ATF fluid as well.

^ thats true for when they dont specifically state it like amp said and infiniti does say to use only their ATF so... "A claim to Infiniti for warranty, service contract, or goodwill repairs to the transmissions listed below may be denied if Genuine Nissan ATF Fluid is not used as specified by the part # in this bulletin." thats enough legal backing for them to deny your claim if needed.

Dont be stupid and try to be smart, use OEM Fluid.

If you do it properly you will not void warranty.
