wiper blade question.

Hi, I just purchased my first G35x 2007.

I am wondering how I can replace the wiper blade. I mean they don't look generic, so do I have to buy it from the dealer?

thanks.

Many people tout the high priced blades but I got a set of Michlin flat blades at WallyWorld for a reasonable price. The flat blades are the balz. (plus they match my tires)

I've tried couple of other blades and went back to OEM. Picked them up under 25 bucks for the pair which I think is reasonable for the OEM ones. Riverside Infiniti FTW!

I think I will go back to OEM as well. The Bosch Icon's were a fail for me.

Yeah there's really no reason to replace the entire blade unless the arm is bent. refills are all you need. Of course the dealers will say they don't have refills, so you can buy an entire assembly. LIARS LIARS

treacherous - what problems did you have with the icons? they were pricey but i liked them. im using the rain-x wipers now and i love them. they seem to last a long time but im also very careful not to run them over ice (which would tear them up) and to keep the rubber clean since dirt will cause corrosion on the blade over time.

The OEM blades have an offset. The newer aftermarket "flat" blades don't. So on the driver's side, for instance, the aftermarket blade will clear about 1" less of the windshield on the far left. (Left hand drive car, natch!)

But I didn't notice this until someone else on the forum pointed it out. It's not that big of a deal.

We had Bosch Icons on for a few months, but they started streaking after a while. I had taken off the OEM blade after paying $17 (!) for a refill and it still didn't clear well. But on the last visit to the dealer, I put the OEM blade back on, complained about it not clearing, and they replaced the whole blade under warranty because it wouldn't conform to the window.

I will just purchase aftermarket refills from now on, and fit them in the OEM blade.
