I had the exact same problem. Dash was peeling up, steering wheel had scratches as well as the door. I live in Dallas and I took the car into Sewell Infiniti and they looked over it and replaced the entire steering column and door panel. If it's under warranty still I would take it to the dealer and more than likely they should replace all the defective parts.

My 2006 sedan has some of the same issues - peeling door handles and dash. Perhaps the models we have were assembled on a Friday, close to quitting time. I not impressed.
