fog lights
fog lights
I want to change the fog light bulbs to a yellow color like 3000k on the stock headlights , does anyone know of a good light bulb ? And if it would look any good ? Also I have heard that changing the bulb could melt the housing/ wiring ,and on certain cars its melted the reflectors ! Is that true?
if stock isnt enough yellow than go hid and you will be happy. if you know what your doing it should melt anything.

Don't go HID in foglights! Those reflectors were not designed for hid's and will glare everyone on the road including you, they will not be helpful at all. Go with a 2500K halogen bulb like http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NOKYA...item3f05f9c3f1
Thx guys for all the comments , and not stock yellow is not good enough . Hey johnny wish I would have seen ur comment earlier I bought some bulbs 3000k but they cost me 25 forth pair but at 35w so they look real nice !

I don't agree with that what so ever, I have 8000k HID as both fogs and projectors, and by no means does it glare me, yes they are not designed for HID but it's totally fine to put them in, a lot of people put HIDs in reflectors.
Yea I put in aftermarket light bulbs they look great really like the outcome , the only thing I don't like is that ugly Orange parking light so I decided just to take off the light bulb and leave w/o a bulb looks way better
I have had yellow hid fogs in my car since day 1....that was 3 years ago. They are suppose to "glare" off the wet road. Thats the point of yellow fog lights. Water absorbs the whiter light spectrums but doesnt absorb the the yellow spectrum. Thats why yellow fogs are great for wet conditions since they penetrate the water and reflect off to give useable light on the ground. I have also never once been flashed or told anything about my fogs, that are pointing towards the ground anyway, that they are producing any type of oncoming glare.
being the 07, my fog/drl is on all the time in day light, and at night i don't really turn on the fog since i live in the city and i don't have much use for the extra light, as for rainny weather i have noidea, i live in canada and this place is dry and cold with a lot of snow, in the snow i can tell you that it does help. when i was on the highway without any road lights, i had the fogs on and i can c the brightness difference.
