I hit one a couple weeks ago that was already dead in the middle of the road. He was really big and my car is lowered a little. I didnt see it until the car in front of me (ford escape) went over it and then it dawned on me that I wouldn't be able to clear it. Couldn't do anything about it and just hit it dead center. It dragged a bit on the front bumper, then the trans cross-member and finally the rearend. No damage but it sure seemed like it should have done something. Sorry you werent so lucky

I've based how much I can lower my car on the height of a normal adult dead possum.

Measuring what?
If you look under the X, clearance is already so little that I doubt you could clear a dead possum right now.
Your bumper may clear, but I don't know about the belly (under the engine/tranny)

With my Eibachs, I can't even stick my fist under there anymore.

The X clears a dead possum with no problem. The coupe cleared on last week but it looked small....or maybe a little flattened.

But you're right, bottom line is I'm not lowering my coupe at all. No coilovers. Next suspension mod will be Tokico D-spec shocks/struts with no change in ride height. Lower would be nice...until I needed to drive it.

Looks like the only one lost was you considering you couldn't find the little F***er. Well it's not too bad so hopefully you get that fixed easily.

Patience and a heat gun will do wonders for it. If it doesn't work, you can always go back to having it fixed at a shop.
