Tech Package Reliability Going Forward
#16
Looks like Aeson has covered everything and answered all your questions(as usual ) so i wont repeat any of em... but ya i have also NOT had ANY problems with my tech package equipment.
To check for 4was you can either check for the orange '4was' light in the cluster near the top left corner of the red lcd when you first turn the car to the ON position(not Start). Or you can peek underneath the car from behind and you should be able to see a motor/actuator attached to the back of the differential. I love my 4was and the control in swift lane changes at high speeds and cornering is AMAZING and definitely noticeable and worth it, the car seems to be on rails and you hardly feel the car turn.
EDIT: Check THIS out
Hope this helps. G/L

One thing you can do is turn off the AFS if you're worried about burning out the motor, it's not as usefull as they make it sound. As for the ICCC, IMHO it's a PITA. The first time I bought my car and was driving back to GA from MD I was very annoyed with it as it would slow me down from a far distance from the car in front of me. Heck I didn't know then that if I held the button down for a hile it would switch to traditional cruise (SMH).
Some may drool at these features because they don't have it and it sounds cool, which I totally understand. After you get it you'll determine for yourself how useful it really is.

60k no issues here. i dont mind the ICC. i have had a sun flare cause it to malfunction, but once it got out of the sun all was normal again. i will agree with the above post, it does stay pretty far away from the car in front of me, but the distance is adjustable in 3 different stages. if im not in a hurry on a trip, putting it in the right lane on 70mph in a steady moving group of traffic saves my right foot alot of work.
