07 G35x front collision

I'm new here so I apologize if this post is in the wrong section.

My car used to look like this.

The estimate replaces the bumper and passenger headlight and repaints the hood and passenger fender. I can take damage pictures if someone want to see them.

So here is an opportunity to customize my g35.
1. Will the g35s bumper (pic below) bolt on my nontech g35x?
2. Any suggested better looking headlights I can purchase instead of oem?
3. Is the 2010 front end interchangeable, as in replace my front end with a 2010?

Thanks

You are able to do a 2010 front end conversion. Hood and fenders and the same in all years 2nd generation. 2010 front end has different headlights, fogs, grill, bumper.

The initial quote is for $2335 for new bumper, new passenger headlight, paint hood and paint passenger fender. Guess that sounds about right.

I'll talk with the body shop concerning the 2010 front end conversion. Living in Indiana we don't have many custom shops and I doubt this body shop wants to attempt this. At the least I plan to go with a g35s bumper.

That doesn't seem to be enough damage to justify the conversion, but it's your money.

To answer your question, being a non-tech package G, you can replace your bumper cover with the Sport cover with no problem at all... direct fit.
To convert to the 2010, you're looking at new headlights, fogs, bumper, grill.... it's going to add up, but that's completely up to you.
It's a good look if you wanna drop the dough.

ya the S bumper will bolt right on the nontech cars, the headlight doesnt seem to be damaged on the outside so maybe it has broken tabs or im missing something.

I suggest you keep the old headlight when the put in the new one just in case you every need a spare, or you can sell the old one for a couple hundred if it has no real damage.

Ya it may be difficult to see but that headlight is scratched and got pushed up and chipped some paint on the fender. That scratch on the hood is down to metal so will need repainted.

To do the 2010 front conversion the additional cost would be:
Driver headlight
Grille
Increased cost for 2010 parts over the 2007?
Probably hold out on the fog lights?
Windshield washer tank?

I think it will be an additional 1K to do the 2010 conversion and I'm not sure its worth that to me.

You guys think the S bumper looks better than the stock coupe?

I did the conversion. It will cost you way more than 1k. You need 2010 hood too. All the mesh peices add up around 400 alone. 2010 headlight cost more than 2008. Grill is more expensive too. Fog lights are 175 each. It will cost u close to 2.5k for the conversion out of ur own pocket.

i've been reading up on the 2010 conversion and you're the first person i see that suggests to replace the hood too. can you elaborate more on it? i just got into an accident and will need to replace the hood anyway.

thanks in advance for your help.
