I dont think you need a 2010 hood!! Check your sources because a lot of people done it without replacing the hood!!

yeah, he's the only guy i see that says to replace the hood, that's why i was curious about it. maybe replacing the hood is better fitament. i have to get a new hood anyways, so might as well be the right one if i'm going to do the conversion.

does anyone know if parts from a 2011 would work? i heard the sport headlights are "different".

not to doubt you, but how do you know? i don't wanna by thousands of dollars in parts only to find out they don't fit and i can't return them.

FYI I can confirm that it is the same hood.
I have parts list of the G35 07-08 sedan and the G37 09-10 sedan and it is the same part number. F510M-JK0M0 (listed at $575.64)
