My songs keep freezing
I have a micro sd card into a c.f. adapter. Plugs in fine, loads like 10 songs won't let me scroll and it takes forever to play the song. Then it only plays a second or two then freezes. I only have about 100 songs on the card. I'm not sure what is going on. Im sick of using my aux cable to my phone. So I went with the compact flash card so it's all integrated into the audio system.

1. you might have a bad cf card
2. how did you format the card? I recall the reader being picky.
3. what formats are the songs? mp3? bitrate?
4. have you tried a different cf card?

Both cards are brand new. The micro sd is formatted in fat32. The songs are mp3 320kbps.
I haven't tried another card yet.

perhaps it's the CF adapter. I haven't had an issue is 5 years.

There's a BT adapter that replaces either the CD changer or SAT input if you'd prefer to go that route from Grom Audio. I use it. works pretty well.

The manual for the 2007 G35x gives these CF card limits. With navigation system:
Folder levels: 8, Folders: 255 (including root folder), Files: 512 (Max. 255 files for one folder)
Without navigation system:
Folder levels: 8, Folders and files: 999 (Max. 255 files for one folder)

The salesman originally told me the CF card size limit was officially 2GB, but he personally had used a 4GB CF card with no problems. I have always used a CF to SD card adapter to make it easier to move songs on and off the card. Nowadays, I mostly used it for audiobooks so I can listen to them while driving on trips without typing up my phone. I've never gotten an SD card larger than 4GB to work.
