It it possible to re-program the Laser detector? It reads back to the cops your speed but can it send a signal back saying maybe 67 on the freeway?

Add a stealth line and a mirror mount or Mike's mount and you're golden! Do a quick search for more info and pics, they're all over the forum!
In terms of performance they may be equal but when it comes to fearures the new escort has some pretty amazing technology, includinf the gps system and traffic cam database that was already mentioned. You can't go wrong with the valentine though, those arrows are definitely helpful. I used to own the k40 calibre built in system - terrible performance and the system just deteriorated rapidly over a year or two making it even worse - but the two lights indicating front and/or back radar detection was such a great feature.

I don't think this is possible but maybe it is, maybe that technology exists already I'm not sure. The only safeguard against lasers I'm aware of are the laser jammers that prevent a cop from detecting your speed for a short distance.

For example - if a cop can catch you at 1000ft with a laser. A jammer will prevent him from reading your speed until maybe 600ft away giving you ample braking distance but some don't work well or at all and a cop will almost always notice you have a jammer since lasers are so direct and accurate. So if you get caught, theres no way hes giving you a break on the ticket.

cops are getting smarter these days.. My brother just got pulled over and ticketed in PA for speeding. The cop didn't use a radar, he used a simple physics equations. D= V/T. They marked off a 50 ft section on a street and then hide and clock your time. If you go pass the 50 ft in too fast of a time, you're F'd. He got a ticket and the cop showed him the math and everything. Fu*k the po-lice!

The v1 is by far the best and if you got an iPhone get the app radaractive or google it. It displays police traps, shows your speed and location on a map, speed cameras, and red light cameras. Came back from Athens ga this morning to Atlanta and it detected so many speed light cameras and police traps. That and the v1 helped me so much

9500ix for sure. Ohio and many other states now have traffic speed sensors along major highways to monitor the flow of traffic. These will set off radar detectors!!! The 9500ix has TSR (traffic signal rejection).

Escort Passport 9500ix. I borrowed this from my friend in my G35 and its ****ing awesome. It detects everything and locks out stupid signals. Shows where speed traps are and all that. And as far as LIDAR or lasers, it picks those up too but the cop has to pull the trigger for it to detect it; otherwise it won't be picked up. So to speak that might mean that if he pulls it on another car you'll pick it up, but if he pulls it on you its too late. Of course you can't beat everything because law enforcement uses timing methods, planes, lidar and pacing etc etc. So NO, radar detectors can't protect from that but from everything else it does a damn good job. the 9500ix beats the valentine 1 by far especially with its gps feature. ****ing awesome.
