Major rust issues??? we should all look at our cars!
Ok, a few weeks ago i started a thread about rust spots i found on my trunk... you can see the picture in this thread:

well today i washed and claybarred my car thoroughly, and while i was claying i found MULTIPLE rust spots like the ones from this picture not just on my trunk, but other various parts of my car....
Can someone take a look at the pic i posted and let me know if this is indeed rust? to me it looks like it is... i examined the area and i do NOT see any clear coat damage, so it looks like this brown rust spot is occuring underneath the clear coat. i do not feel any raised bumps or dips in the coat, so i dont know WTf it is but its serious because its all over the car.
like everyone else, i have rock chips and i did notice some rust occuring where the rock chips penetrated the clear coat and took paint off (warranty wouldnt apply here right?), that is to be expected from the crappy soft paints on our cars... but these brown rust spots occuring without clear coat damage is puzzling and alarming.
can you guys take a look closely at your cars and see if you have the same brown rust spots? my car is an 08, and i been hearing many others with 08's having issues with rust around trunk and such, maybe you guys can take a look and see if these brown spots are there on your cars too... it maybe a paint defect from that year.

I have a bunch of rust spots on all of my door jams. Some from chips, others are similar to what you are saying...no damage, but clearly rust coming through. I have thread going about this as well. I'm concerned because I just picked my car up as a CPO on the 29th of March. I'm giving my salesman a call on Monday to see what his thoughts are.
