I recently bought a 2007 G35S, no navi. The car has XM radio, but does not have a separate xm antenna. Since it tunes all my stations fine, I assume that the antenna is integrated into the rear window with the regular air antennas, but I don't think I've ever noticed that done on other manufacturer's cars. Does anyone have the same situation? Does the separate antenna only get installed in navi cars?

The FM antenna is in the rear window and the XM antenna is that shark fin on the roof.

 

Like the above poster said, its in the shark fin, and thats the same for both Navi/Non-Navi cars.

 

Interesting, mine does not have a "sharkfin" or anything else on the roof. Must have an add on XM module.

 

Update: Finally figured out the issue on this. Previous owner had installed a Nissan XM unit and apparently was too lazy to properly finish the install. The left the unit and antenna sitting between the rear shelf and the trim in the trunk...the antenna was getting it's signal though the rear window. Explains the spotty reception. Got everything in place now and it's working much better.
