I raced a 350z in my G35s AT5 speed. Raced 6speed Z one time one the track, and another race was the highway rolls. We did highway rolls though from 35-130. I stay in 2nd gear and so does he. We go for it and right away I take the lead. I jump ahead about almost a car length and pull away slowly all the way.

Ohhh yeah and he had some mods on his Z as well. He had an exhaust (straight pipe 3") intake, spacer, and grounding kit. Perhaps some other ones, but I think that's all he told me.

Also I took my G to the track a couple times, the best I ran was 14.1 but that wasn't my best that night. I didn't run good, I had some problems with the G that week that needed to be fixed. Anyway if you get good launches you should be looking at high 13s, 13.8 or 13.9. Some people on here with 5AT ran 13.5-13.8 with everything stock! I think that's pretty impressive!

Anyway I think you should take him!

I got the HR engine and I just walk all the non HR 350z i have encountered. I got a 6mt so it may make a difference you have a 4 door which is a little lighter that the 2 door. If he spins a out the line you will get im. Don't wait for that green light once you see the last yellow punch it by the time your foot gets all the way down on the gas and your car breaks inertia you will have a perfect launch. Good luck

I raced and beat a modded Z in my 09 Denali. He was NOT a happy camper to see that big ol' pickup truck walk him in the 1/8th!

My 07 G35 feels a bit quicker than my Denali so you should have no problems if you don't spin or use your paddle shifters....

you will crush him easily, i raced 350z 6mt 2 times and the best they did was 14.3 so i was maybe 5-6cars in front with 13.75-13.81 all the time plus i have a G35X 07 5AT!
