Disable tire pressure sensor?
Disable tire pressure sensor?
I had just installed new rims and tires but didn't put in the air sensor to the new rim because the shop said it might leak and what not. Should I have done it?
Since I didn't, is there a way to disable to air pressure warning light?

I check my pressure often with my stock wheels because every 2 weeks they needed air. The reason I didn't put them in is because I didn't want extra problems like leaks and possible something breaking. Thanks.
You can go the ghetto route. Put all four sensors inside of your spare tire and air it up above spec. The light will go off. I don't recommend this but I've seen it done plenty times before. I personally love tpms as my tires are always 35 series or lower and I've actually never had my tpms leak or break. I would run em
i dont think that trick works with our cars anymore, the sensors have to be in the proper place else the light goes off, i saw someone placing all four sensors in a pvc pipe and filled it up to 34-36psi but it didnt work and it turned out that the sensors are position sensitive, i dont have any experience with this, just sharing what i read 3 years back so it could be wrong.
Not that I know of, unless you don't mind putting a slab of black electrical tape over the dashboard light.
