sunroof is stuck in the tilt open position... Found 2 loose screws from the sunroof motor after partially pulling down headliner. Re-inserted screws but the sunroof still won't close. Motor is working, but the sunroof only moves an inch. Any solutions?

Your motor could be dead or it could be one of the connection. When you push a button do you hear the motor working?

^ well he said his motor is working fine so im guessing its just off the rails really. take car to dealer if u still have warranty.

i had the same problem (stuck in tilted position and grinding noise when attempting to open/close), took it to the dealer and the screws were out and needed to tightened. there are some other threads on this.

Really? the screws were out? Did they say what caused it?

Tightened all 3 screws late last night and got it to close properly. Thank goodness, supposed to rain for the next 2 days...

The dealers didn't want to fix it. It's not under warranty?

Not after 60k miles... They wanted $125 just to look at it. I figured I'd play with it and see if I could fix it myself.

125 for that?!? no way!

Is this a common problem then, that these screws come loose? Might be good to get some pics to show folks which ones so we can do some preemptive maintenance.

Search it, i dont have time find the thread right now but you can reset it by holding the button down and opening and closing it. Mine did the same thing and i pushed it down while pushing the button to get it closed. After that I had to reset it, i bumped the thread last month.
