its not normal however its a common issue. A lot of ppl have had this problem and most have had the entire cluster replaced by the dealership for free while some had to do with the cheap glue the dealerships apply that breaks loose on the first day of summer... take it in and you might be one of the lucky ones...

I have the same problem and my dealer said they would take care of it by ordering a new cluster for me when I mentioned it last time I was there....

thanks!
I've got the EXACT same thing going on with my '07. It seems like it just started within the last 6 months or so. It's just on that same side and I don't even park it in the sun either

Has anyone who had this repaired gotten a TSB number or anything we can refer to when talking with the dealer?

I had mine replaced 3 times now. The last one is holding up great though for about 2 yrs now. Hopefully they will hold up fine the rest of the way since my warranty will expire in a about 5k more miles.

If your car is under warranty they will replace it. 626 isn't to far from 714 if you want to come in.

Mine is an 08, but I got the car from Carmax in May 2010. Can I still take my car to an Infiniti dealer to have this fix?!

its a defect. it happens one too many times with the '08s. i had it too. take it in, they will give you a new dash. make sure u tell those retards at the dealership to NOT scratch the clear plastic dash... they did it to mine during the repair.
