I paid $300 at OC Infiniti and installed it myself. I believe they ship too.

Thanks, just got the part in the mail, about 280 shipped, slightly different part number for my 06 coupe. Was the instal hard? I've had the center section out to run wires under there so not worried about that part, but haven't dealt with the linkage under the car much, do I need to jack up the car? Thanks!

DS MODE not working - DIY

Hello,

I was facing same issues (no DS MODE) in my g35x 2007.
It started with random switching to D mode (somtimes very early, sometimes after long drive).

Finally it stopped working at all.

Before buying a new part I decided to inspect this myself.
If seems (after 3-4 weeks now) that it is somehow connected with white lubrication inside transmission module (mechanical box under gear stick).

After cleaning lubrication from places it should not be (especially small aluminium plates that pushes small buttons that change gears +/-), my DS MODE is back to normal.
I had to do it twice (after first cleaning DS MODE was gone after a few days). Till now it is working w/o issues. I hope it will stay that way

whole operation took about 10-15 mins - look in service manual how to remove gear stick and access the box. All you need is soft material and thick finger/pencil/screwdriver.

Regards.
