Tires for Infiniti G35Xs

Guys
Im looking at GoodYear Tpc 1257ms Eagle P225/50R18 Front and Back.
Should I stagger the size between the front and back ?

Front Tire Size: 225/50R18
Rear Tire Size: 245/45R18

If you want to pay more, want that aesthetic look, and don't mind rotating after every other oil change.

Hmmm... To be honest, I never much saw the point of rotating a staggered setup at all.

^i am with him... different tires screws up an X. Only works well on rwd

This topic never seems to get old lol. You can run staggered tires FINE on an X. I have been running my staggered setup for well over a year with absolutely ZERO problems. Here's what you do
1. Go to a tire size calculator website
2. Plug in your tire sizes
3, Make sure they are similar in diameter/circumference
4. Enjoy

But in your case I don't see a point. What wheels are you running? Most people run staggered sizes for the look but the sizes you listed would barely be noticeable. In your case I wouldn't run 225/50 and 245/45 it's about a half inch (14mm) difference in circumference.

I believe the more pertinent debate is over what window of tolerance there should be in the definition of "similar" .

This thread is like the subject of turning the x into a rwd.... why not just buy a rwd to begin with and stagger wheels or go fully rwd???

Yeah but I'm saying there won't be a problem if you're doing it right. (knock on wood ) If you want to be safe with the dealer, you could always swap to an oem set if you have two sets of wheels.

Not sure where you're from cause your location isn't specified, but do you know how rare an S even a journey model is in the northeast compared to an X? 99% of all models new or used on in dealerships happen to be an X unless you are placing an order directly with Infiniti. That makes finding a RWD G in your preferred specs almost impossible.
