Always loved my 5AT. Clutch issues in the early days steered me away from the 6MT and after all the MTs I've had over the years this one wasn't that impressive.

Don't regret it at all. Gas mileage blows in every version of the G ever made as far as I'm concerned - I wouldn't want to dick around with a couple of extra ratios for the sake of 1 or 2 extra MPG.

If Infiniti had their own tight version of a dual clutch tranny, THAT would catch my eye.

Mine too. I'd settle for the rev matching manual from the 370z; has anyone ever looked into THAT conversion? I assume it would be horrendously complicated; ecu, wiring, mounts, DS, etc. etc.

hope lexus doesnt do 8at on all models. cuz by image, 8at would be worse than 7at. and thats the current problem that IS-F has.

actually all i want is another gear for the highway.
my TL only revs at 1800 when cruising at 100kph, but G35 is reving to almost 2500. therefore i only get 9.3L/100km which is just 25.3 MPG. while my TL can do 6.5L/100km which is 36 MPG.
