Fitment is pretty bad. The spoiler is too long and causes a sizable gap in the middle when I force it. Anyone have this problem with theirs? Solutions? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

i dont see any solution if its too big other than either getting it exchanged by Ravspec or getting a shop to sand it down evenly on both ends, which would probably mean repainting it as well...

 

Damn, can u take pics and post it up? Because I was thinking about getting the same spoiler, but if it doesn't fit then there's no point in really buying it, I hope it's a one off thing.

Humm, maybe its just me, but I can't find where it says it's a Ravspec spoiler?

It is the same pic as the Ravspec one, but I doubt you bought the same unit.

Can u clarify that is it genuine Ravspec spoiler? and not just a cheap imitation?

Edit: Just noticed the seller is "RavSpec Outlet Store" but are they RavSpec the same company that makes them?

 

Thats the same one I bought and I have no issues with mine. Ravspec and BlackTop Aero are the same. It is an authentic ravspec roof spoiler.

 

^ in that case it could be one of those scenario's where a bad fitment spoiler just happens to sneak past the quality inspection folks and makes your pocket a bit lighter, but Ravspec seems like a stand up company and should replace with a correctly shaped/sized spoiler for no extra charge to you, contact them asap through ebay and driver.

 

Thanks for the help guys. The body shop ended up shaving down each side of the spoiler as well as the bottom. Luckily a respray wasn't necessary thanks to the side panels covering up the shaved area. Everything now looks good and I'm on to my next mod.

What happened was you got one of their bad spoilers, they had a small potion of a batch with spoilers being a little longer on both ends, I had to shave one down on both sides when I bought a few from them for my customers, other than that... fitment is spot on, it's actually my favorite roof spoiler design, got one for myself as well, installing it tomorrow.

 

mine is a couple cm's shorter on one side wtf should I just center it and have the same gap on each side?
