ya there is, the car wont allow for you to lock the doors from the outside button if the keys are inside, the car will start beeping, similarly if you leave you keys in the trunk and try to close it, it wont, it will pop back up. All this will happen as long as your system is functioning properly and the i-key battery is not dieing/dead

EDIT: just saw that you have the 2005 so im not a 100% sure about this since i believe they didnt have i-keys then, what i said is true for 07+ though

Yeah I know I did unfortunately.

This time of year makes it near impossible for me to take some time off on the weekends. In June we have about 40 events per week, little crazy to say the least.
