Aftermarket HID Bulbs. Am I the Problem?
I want to upgrade the actual low beam headlight and was wondering which ones you guys thought were a good buy? looking for a more of a blue-er look... ALSO, what do you guys recommend for switching the fog lights out to something a little cleaner and crisper?? Thanks for help. New to this type of thing...

I did a 6000k bulb which is a more blueish color and looks great. I think our factory fog lights in our cars are a joke. I just swapped it out with a multi led bulb, again with the bluish/white color.
sorry I revive this but I think I am having a similar issue. I thought I had a bad bulb (initially it would go on and off, even while driving, reseated it several times) and the seller sent me a new pair. Now if it comes on it says on, but when its cold it won't come on unless I flick them off and then on again (and it slowly comes on over a few secs, you can see it growing brighter). However my stock bulb works fine -but is no way I have 3 bad replacement bulbs lol. I am still under warranty, but I know if I take it in they'll tell me not to use aftermarket bulbs and charge me for looking at it due to install of non oem parts.
yea im doing the sti-r swap this weekend.right now i got 8k bulbs but i just bought some 6000k bulbs to put in there,so u get the white light but the flicker of blue and u get better out out,im gona pt the 8ks in my fogd just to add some color...
i thought we had to remove the bumper to get the headlights off of the car?
this might be easier then removing the bumper when i blackout my housing.

*** UPDATE ***
So i thought i had a bad bulb so i went ahead and went through the warranty process. The company was nice enough to just send me 2 bulbs and not ask for the other ones back for warranty. After replacing what i thought was a bad pass. side bulb, it still would blow out after 1-5 min. So my worst fear was true. I was lucky enough to have a spare ballast from a 350z. Swapped the ballast out and has been working great ever since.
I guess my car just has bad luck. 07 with 52k on the clock.

To replace the pass. side ballest yes you have to remove the headlight assy. I just unbolted the pass side bumper bolts and clips and snuck the headlamp through. Not easy by any means, but i saved time. Just had a friend hold the bumper bach as i pulled the headlamp through.
