Needless to say, they're going to pay for the refinishing.

Never had a problem with them, and never had to worry about this kinda crap.

Don't know why guys spend money on this stuff. If you keep your wheels reasonably clean and don't go years between cleanings soap and water work just fine.

Nearly 7 year old wheels below.
Totally agree thats all you need soap and water

I use P21S cleaner. No damage on my rims.

Also use a turbostick to clean the inside of the wheel.

I stopped using "wheel cleaners" years ago. They are a big effing nightmare in the durability dept. Maybe if we had BMW's, but even then you would use:

P21S is an PH balanced (read: not acidic) wheel cleaner that is very good for thick brake dust.

I'm with ya, that's the only thing I've used on my G since I got it. However, I was contenplating buying some once I got my new wheels on. Guess I won't be doing that. And yes, what tire dressing do you use? that s**t is shiny

With Any Acid based cleaner your rims need to be cool and you need to rinse before hand.

I used that when i first got my car to clean the crap the dealer never cleaned and it did a great job, afterwards I just used some car soap and water.

Spraying the acid based cleaner on hot rims was not a smart idea and which is why you have those marks.
