Compressor poll.... if you own a 2nd gen PLEASE take a look..

I just wanted to get an idea of how many of you in a 2ND GEN g35 or g37 had their compressors replaced, and if so, how many times.

Doing research on the subject from threads a couple of years old, saw that many people with 07 and 08's were complaining of grinding or loud sounds from their compressors... I am curious as to how many actually ended up replacing theirs.

I am on my 3rd compressor on my 08, curious as to see what kind of a trend the G has with compressors..... so please, vote. thanks!

Haven't replaced mine yet, but still learning a lot about these cars. What went wrong that you had to replace it?

Mine is definitely audible at low speeds. I can hear its rpm vary with the engine in slow traffic or while moving across parking lots, but the sound is rather smooth. If this thread was never started, I wouldn't give it a second thought. The growl it makes when AC is on sounds healthy.
