Which is a better deal? Please help me decide.
Hi,
I'm new here, and looking to replace my 10 year old Honda Accord with an Infiniti G35!
I have the option of buying one of these cars; all are automatic, all have Navigation and are more or less comparable except the last one:
1. 2007 G35x. Mileage: 22,000. $25K
2. 2008 G35x. Mileage: 29,000. $27K.
3. 2008 G35xS. Mileage: 31,500. $27K.
4. 2007 G35x. Mileage: 33,000. $27K. This one has a Nav package with 9.5Gb HDD (not sure about the others), plus the technology package (Adaptive Front Lighting System and Intelligent Cruise Control) and wood package.
Which is a really good deal? Which is a better car? I guess my question comes down to whether I should go for low miles in 2007, or higher miles in 2008 (or the last one which is 2007 and loaded). If the latter, which of the 2008? How much I can typically negotiate these prices down? All cars are at local dealers.
Were there important updates to the 2008 model? Is the xS model noisier than the rest?
Any advice will be much appreciated!
Many thanks!
Paul

Well, I am a little partial. I have had my 08 G35xS for less than a month and I love it. I upgraded from an 04 G35x and if you are worried about road noise, don't be. Compared to your honda the S will be whisper quiet at speed. My first G was WAY quieter than my gf's honda of the same era. The 08 is no comparison.
I also like the trim on the Sport more than the other cars. The sport bumper is a nice plus.(I also have the rear spoiler which I really like). I'm not sure if all those models come with paddle shifters, but i know the sport does and they are fun/useful to have.
The prices arent bad. I bought my S at an Infiniti dealer as a CPO for a little less then your quote, but it had about 10k more miles. I am sure you can barter on all of those.
It all comes down to which car you like best.

Can I post or PM VIN numbers to anybody just to make sure the Autocheck record are clean? (I don't care to read the full report as long as there are no accidents, damage, salvage, ...). The Carfax reports are all clean.
This is a quote from my dealer's site - is this true?
Many thanks!

Remember, when you are looking at Infinitis you need to pull the AutoCheck, not the Carfax since Infiniti does not report to Carfax. There are way too many damaged Infinitis running with clean Carfax reports, but the only way to get a certified Infiniti is make sure the AutoCheck checks out.

the seller should be able to give you an Auto Check if you ask. I would go with the S if at all possible. I love my X but love the front bumper on the S more, and the S sits about an inch lower than the X so it's got a better stance. It seems like fellow S drivers just use snow tires in the winter and have no problem getting around but that may not be a factor depending on where you live. Don't get me wrong, I love my X but probably would have preferred an S or XS. Also, if you do get an X, see if you can do something about their prices, got my 08' X in amazing condition with less miles and a cheaper price than those you have listed.
Thanks. I am hoping I can negotiate the prices down at least $1-$2K. What did you pay?
