Trading in my car..but don't know what to get

I got such a good deal on my 07 6 months ago, that nothing is in my price range unless i go down to a first gen G or get an 07 with 70K+ and it being a base model

I would really like the car to have NAV and at least XM built in but nothing in my price range. May be forced to go down to a first gen

I have had horrible luck with this car so i am now afraid to get a high mileage G

How bad are the problems with your car that you would downgrade to a 1st gen? Why don't you try selling privately and see if you could find a nice deal on another 2nd gen.

I am afraid if i sell it privately, the buy will come back to me under lemon law due to big vibrations on highway that can't be fixed/found

Now that i think of it, i will prob buy a car outside of infiniti if i have to downgrade

Actually if you sell it privately its a "As-is" sale in case the buyer needs to test out the car before paying you, once you sign over the title to him its his/her headache.

Im not saying cheat anyone, im just saying that its buyers headache if he decides to buy the car with the vibrations at a good price thinking he can get it fixed pretty cheap, legally you are not liable after that point. My advice is that if you get a serious buyer let em know that the car vibrates at certain speeds and you cant figure out the problem and then its up to them

^ that has to be on used cars sold be dealers i really doubt that there could be any such laws on personal private party sales else there could be a lot of problems and cases arising from this... however i dont know MA laws so cant be certain and can only ask you to confirm this for your own sake cause if this isnt the law which i think it isnt then you can get much more out of this deal and afford another 2nd gen G so its worth teh effort imo.

KBB says i can get 21K in good condition for my car private party. Dealer is only 18.9 or 19K for trade in

Only problem about private party is i would need another car lined up right when mine sells...

^ ya thats true... if you dont mind a 2-2.5k hit then might as well trade it in i guess... For 21k you can find some good used 2nd Gen Gs though...

Im guessing you have exhausted every possible option of getting this fixed which is hwy you are willing to get hit by this loss even though you just got a new engine anyways just keep looking im sure you'll find what youre looking for. Good Luck!

have you thought about going through a wholesaler and avoiding the dealership altogether? I used a wholesaler in my area who was referred to me and I saved at least a couple grand as opposed to going to a dealership and buying it.

Sell it to someone that lives in the burbs that hardly gets on the freeway, so they dont get to open her up and witness vibration

I haven't been tracking your problems but is your car on stock wheel and suspension, and still has vibrations?

Used 09 370z you could pick up for mid 20's. I'm trading in for a 370z but it's a 2012. I got a good deal on it so I couldn't pass it up.

Yes...all stock

Honestly, i would have rather had the dealer tell me it will be $1000 to fix and it will be fine then to say wow..this is really rare..not something you want to hear

I thought for sure your luck would change when you changed your avatar from that creepy masked gunman from TheTown to the best hockey team in recent memory~guess not
Maybe look into a used Pontiac G8.

I was looking into G8 GT's but 90% are wayyy overpriced. 24-28K still for an 08

It's so weird too..because when my wheel is turned in either direction on the highway..the vibs almost all go away..but once wheel is strait again..boom..its bad again and its a pulsation...as in 8-10 seconds of vibration..followed by 8-10 seconds of smooth riding..and this pattern goes on until i get below about 60
