HELP --Clicking sound in the back end

I have an 08 G35xs and when I roll up to a red light with light braking there is a clicking sound that comes from the back end. When I stop it is gone and if I apply the brakes harder it goes away. I took it to the dealer and of course they couldn't hear anything but it happens every time. Any ideas?

This used to happen to me in the front and rear. To be honest I forgot what the actual problem was lol. Either way when I took it to service they took apart the whole brake assembly, properly oiled/lubed all the parts then reassembled it and the noise went away.

I have the same issue, and it's driving me nuts.

The last time I asked a friend he told me it could be the axle, after 30,000km it's worth checking if they're still enclosed and working properly.

I haven't had the time to take it in for an inspection and my clicking noise just gets worse and worse

You're the man treacherous

I'll make sure to finally get mine fixed within the coming week or so.

One question though, wouldn't this problem also occur with the front axles? or is it only the rears? because I can swear mine are clicking from both front and rear

Same thing here, they took apart the brakes, cleaned and lubed them and it went away. Only had the clicking during light braking, went away when I pushed harder.

My car was doing the exact same thing in the front. I did pads all around and replaced the front rotors (all OEM stuff) and it went away... only to return after 2 weeks, this time in the rear. I'm gonna have the rear rotors cut this weekend and see if it goes away after that. If not I may just replace them.
