Take it to a discount tire or nth and see how much they quote... I would imagine it would lesser then the dealer... Or maybe one of these smaller shops but make sure you keep an eye out. Either way the dealer can't even be trusted at times

That's what they did for me at the stealer today. Unfortunately, it was not covered by extended warranty (cost $60 n change) but the light is gone.

But was your light always on?

Mine only goes on at high speeds/long distances.. so it does not bother me enough to get it fixed.. yet.

BUT I guess if I want to make sure the TPMS works then I prob should... haha
$60 not bad either..

No, it only started flashing/turning solid a few days prior. I thought a TPMS sensor went bad, since when my tires run low on air TPMS warning light tends to turn solid (without flashing) immediately. Guess it was something else, although for the life of me I can't understand what went wrong so that they needed to get reprogrammed.

It's not the amount, it the fact I dropped over $1500 for Elite extended warranty, which IMO should cover stuff like this. I am becoming a convert the idea that extended warranties aren't the wisest choice; rather would stash away the money I paid for it as a separate "car fund" and just use it as needed.
