So i just got back from manheim PA last night and was too tired to take pictures and just went to bed. I got a 2008 G35x with 87k miles for $16k. Still drives, looks and feels really clean since it was driven in PA and mostly highway miles, i have attached pictures and let me know what you guys think. I know the timing was terrible, as hurricane irene is hitting us as we speak , well it just started , so im posting these pictures for you guys from my iphone 4 and hope no tree or obstacle comes crashing into my car throughout the storm. Just got the car temporary tags and decided to take pictures while im putting the tag on. Let me know what you think and i might reply on monday if the power goes out, wish us luck here in NY

Welcome to the site, sure hope things stay relatively calm for you during Irene. My thoughts go out to all that are in the affected areas.
Nice looking G, hellava score for $16k, these cars are good for over 200k w/ proper maintenance so you'll have plenty of miles left to enjoy that nice car
It's total lol what 16k will buy you in the new or low mile used car lot, maybe a Ford Focus w/ 15k on the odo or a new Hyundai Accent. You've done well I think

Thanks I hope so too, I've already put the g in the driveway (it slopes downhill) back first. I also laid 2 layers of bags of sand in front of the driveway to keep water from going down.
I also think I got a good deal due to the fact that the only cosmetic damages are some light swirl marks and front bumper and grille imperfections that are really small from the highway miles. The steering wheel is chipping a little and the piece that sticks out from the top left of the dash is there, so those are 2 recalls that I can't fix since I'm over the warranty. Also at the auction, there weren't too many people there to bid because they got distracted by a bright blue corvette revving the hell out of the engine so everyone diverted their attention to it, lucky me

Next time you go to the dealer you can mention those areas that are peeling/chipping. Sometimes a dealer to instill good will & customer loyalty will go outside the box and take care of items that even though they're out of warranty are something that should be fixed anyway. Never hurts to inquire anyway

Congrats, try to go to the dealer and see if the car was ever visited the dealers for maintenance. I guess you bough the Basic model with no Bose, navi and so on?
Thx, def gonna inquire about the car at the dealer, there are two around me so I'll try after the hurricane. I got the model with only the awd Bluetooth and it does have Bose stereo and sunroof. I really didn't need everything else but a camera would've been nice to make use of the screen and I remember seeing you can install paddle shifters.

ahh so you have premium package that's good. Don't go to Kings Infiniti. If you want good dealers go to Long island Competition Infiniti, Massapequa Infiniti or Manhasset Infiniti.
Thx for telling me that, i will avoid kings infiniti and go to the ones you mentioned.. Yes Raymond, $16k without taxes and fees. I still think it was pretty good even though i was willing to pay $17k without taxs and fees. I was quite lucky as i thought i was gonna lose it. Update on Irene: I run out and check to see the damage and it didnt even hit yet, just the outer clouds storming in. i cant imagine what to expect when it starts to get really bad.

Don't worry the media is overblowing this. The eye-wall is falling apart and it will most likely be downgraded to some heavy wind and rain.

Welcome and enjoy your new G. Yeah just called my sister (Queens) nothing yet from Irene. NY is probably safe, though Irene has killed a few in Va
