I think it's a placebo effect because it's an electronic signal and whether it comes from the shifter or the paddles it shouldn't make a difference.
Some say that grounding kits improve the manumatic shift speed.

hey, not to revive an old thread, but did you ever get around to installing them? how difficult was it? i'm interested in getting these but tbh i dont know if mine is a base 07 coupe (it doesnt have the navi unit or brembo brakes)
